1. Find Out How You’re Doing

Whether you’re promoting csp training or an English teaching course, the first step to your SEO solution is knowing where you’re at. Because you can only start improving when you know where you’re falling short.

Use a free online ranking tool that gives you an idea of where your page ranks. Many of these tools will also give you some insight as to where you can improve and you can use these as your starting point for developing an SEO strategy. 

2. Your NAP

Your NAP is your name, address, and phone number and it has a big role to play in SEO. You need to ensure that your NAP, brand logos, website, service hours, and any other information relative to your online course, is consistent across the internet. This includes listings on social profiles, Google My Business, as well as any ratings or reviews sites.

When this information is inconsistent, a search engine will pass over you and you’re less likely to rank on a search results page. This is because inconsistency leads the search engine to lose confidence in your legitimacy. Instead of sending users to a page they can’t be sure of, they’ll send them somewhere they’re sure will suit their needs.

3. Use Long Tail Key Phrases

Long gone are the days of keyword stuffing to rank on search engine results. Not only will that get you penalized by Google, but it’s also not really enough to use keywords anymore. Instead, we’re moving toward using long tail key phrases to target out audiences.

Google is becoming more sophisticated. They’re now looking to provide a user with results that target the intent of their search, rather than the keywords that they’ve searched. By incorporating long tail key phrases into your content, you’re more likely to encompass that intent and rank on the results page

4. Guest Posting

The power of the guest post is still very strong. Promoting your online course through a guest post on another company’s blog gives you a larger audience than you can reach on your own. It builds brand awareness and recognition.

5. Optimize for Voice Search

30% of online searches will be conducted by voice by 2020. This means optimizing your content for voice search now will put you ahead of your competitors.

Remember that people using search have different habits than those that use mobile devices and/or text for their search queries. They’re more likely to input searches as questions. Optimize your content by answering the questions your potential students will have.
